andresalvarez 0 Posted June 2, 2004 Did you manipulate it? the flesh tone looks a bit unreal. Very cute and incredible eyes! Link to comment
pawel_stradowski 0 Posted June 2, 2004 Howard, I love the expression and the crop, however I am not very convinced with the colors. Its probably intended, and correct me if Im wrong, but this photo seems to have noise. I know that Canon 10D is one of the best in handling noise, so I assume it was intended. It works perfectly fine with the eyes, so Im in the middle. I could only suggest that your tries (or I will do it myself) to even up the skin only to make it more pure and innocent. Anyways, I like it a lot! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted June 2, 2004 I too really like the expression. The tight crop works really well. There is a little blotchiness in the skin that might be benefited from a healing brush as well. The eyes have it though. Very cute picture. Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted June 2, 2004 Yeah, the retouched shot is better. Perhaps it's the lighting that seem to make it look blotchy. Really mesmerising eyes. Great capture Dion. Link to comment

aepelbacher 0 Posted June 2, 2004 Why did you decide to change it from the first upload with sepia except for the eyes? Link to comment
home page1 0 Posted June 3, 2004 I like the composition and the eyes but I agree with Pawel that the skin is blotchy. The reposted version looks a little better. Link to comment
wilsontsoi 0 Posted June 3, 2004 ...wow...how greeeeen can one's eyes get? Nevertheless, I also find that the skin tone can use a bit "smoothening." From exeperience, portraiture does not necessary benifit from ultrasharpenss 100% of the time. To save further explanation, I'd like to offer alternative herein: Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted June 3, 2004 I like Wilson's version here. This is more along the lines of what I was thinking as well. Nice job. Link to comment
afterthoughts 0 Posted June 4, 2004 I decided, I did not like the Sepia shot and removed it. Replaced the shot with this image. I think it was my mood at the time. Now, I am wondering why I deleted the Sepia version? To Joe's Group: Thank you all for the input and suggestions. Much appreciated. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted June 5, 2004 I like your second attached version, but missed seeing the sepia one. I tend to like sepia portraits, but this little girl's eyes are so striking, I think sepia wouldn't do her justice. Link to comment
ronnievalentine 0 Posted June 6, 2004 Howard, I too favor the 2nd version. However, they're both great. Good capture. Link to comment
