absolute beginner 0 Posted May 30, 2004 Veri nice and delicate... I guess the light source is from above, am I right? Link to comment
donnaalbers 0 Posted May 30, 2004 Aristide, the light source is the sun which was shining overhead. Link to comment

sarahunderhill 1 Posted May 30, 2004 Very nicely done. The bit of green in the left corner really adds to this. Nice work. Link to comment
carlton_ellis 0 Posted May 31, 2004 Excellent lighting, overall a simple but elegant photograph. Link to comment
ivar olsen 0 Posted May 31, 2004 Ahh!!! :-)) Love it!! Brilliant!!! You also remind me that it's easy to get caught up in "mega close macro" and forget the total beauty when stepping back to see the simplicity. Thanks! :-)) Ivar Link to comment
tc_reed 0 Posted May 31, 2004 I like the texture coming through the petals as you've managed here. Tone is excellent and your lighting is low keyed enough to allow even the stem to stand out nicely. Very elegant. Link to comment
digitaldee 0 Posted May 31, 2004 I like the simplicity too. Morever the shot is beautiful Link to comment
donnaalbers 0 Posted June 1, 2004 Thank you everyone for your comments. These blossoms are truly incredible. . .they seem to have an inherent glow that permeates their translucent petals. Ivar, I would like to have gotten a close up shot but was unable to since they were growing at the edge of the lake where the ground was very wet. Link to comment
chris_kuettner 0 Posted June 1, 2004 Great shot (again!) Donna, Was the lighting all natural?? Link to comment
donnaalbers 0 Posted June 1, 2004 Yes, Chris, the lighting on the flower was all natural, but I adjusted the background with ps. Link to comment
hlaszlo 0 Posted June 4, 2004 There is no point adding one more comment to the many already here. It's a good picture anyway. Link to comment
