Guest Guest Posted May 28, 2004 I like your use of space MUCH more! Can't wait to see more of your D70 shots. Link to comment
yankfan 0 Posted May 30, 2004 I like the way the picture is broken up by the shoreline. Link to comment
cghubbell 0 Posted June 1, 2004 This was taken on the shore of Lake Ontario's Webster Park right after a heavy rain. I liked the cloud's arc opposing the breakwater, and the rich blue. I exposed based on the sky to subdue the rocks. I wanted the balancing effect they provide, but not enough detail to take your eyes off the sky. Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted June 18, 2004 Christopher, I agree with Ali & John. Your use of space is great. It's unusual for a composition which is split across the middle by the horizon to be successful but this is one of those exceptions because both sky and foreground have interesting details. I especially like the near symmetry of the clouds and shoreline. On my screen the shoreline appears with little detail & the sky is a bit light so I played with the 'curves' in PS and offer my version for your consideration even though yours can stand on it's own. Best, LM. Link to comment
