hanna_cowpe 0 Posted May 28, 2004 I intentionally included the man, for scale, and to symbolize the generations who have walked between these pillars. Link to comment

Landrum Kelly 64 Posted May 28, 2004 Interesting thought, Hanna--spanning the generations. Our preoccupation with capturing the perfect still picture sometimes makes us forget how many moments in time are reflected in all of our photos, whether of nature or of man-made objects and places. Even if one takes just one indicator of change, such as, say, fashion, it would be interesting to think about the varieties of dress that have been visible in this very scene over those generations. And then there are the private lives and private thoughts of every person who has crossed that same piece of pavement. Link to comment
hanna_cowpe 0 Posted May 29, 2004 Lannie, you're so right about capturing the perfect scene without traces of man. Where would history be without us? There have probably been 10 generations walking these streets. It would have been interesting to meet them all. As for their private thoughts...hmmm, I'm not sure *~* Link to comment
