mattvardy 0 Posted November 12, 2005 I was just browsing my highest ratings given page, and was happy to be reminded of this image. There is something about it that I have always liked, definitely a personal favourite of mine from your diverse portfolio. However, there is one thing I would have liked to suggest long ago... That pole in the background is really distracting to me. It seems to interfere with the composition, interupting the natural flowing lines in the hair, body and clothing. I can accept the fact that it adds a feeling of "industrial toughness" and reality to the overall setting, and so doesn't affect my rating, but for some reason I have always wondered about a solid background gradient from black at top to grey at bottom, without the dividing line created by the pole... Why did you choose to leave it in the frame? Link to comment
