I'd be tempted just to keep the woman on the left. The contrast of her pose and the incongruous coat is enough. I don't think the couple add anything.

I did that once before, it was plain. THis kind of gives a contrast between plain girls who can not skate, and a gracious Gothic woman who is skating so elegantly that she steals the "floor". Not much later both girls slipped and Ms Gothic kept skating with an icey look. Living in her own little world.

I do not agree about removing the 'plain' girls (they wouldn't be happy to hear this). Keep them. They all together make the picture. I would have left more space around the gothic dancer.

This is just perfect, what a GREAT composition, action, contrast, this Gothic dressed woman, with the two fumbling ( ik hoop dat ik het goed zeg, ik bedoel stuntelende)people next to it, it feels great to see this.

Nice contrast between the lady who has clearly mastered the art of standing up on ice with the two people on the right who have not. I would be with those on the right, personally!

The contrast between the left girl and the right people *DOES* make the picture IMHO.

The only little change I would have liked, would have been a bit more space (5%?) on the left, top and right. Expecially on the left and right, since she seems "oppressed" by the borders of the picture, whereas she seems to fare quite well on the ice...

Thanks Sal, my sentiment too. The woman in herself is interesting due to her "irregular" exterior but not much else then that, the girls who are not capable of even skating without falling, need eachother to keep "afloat", make the contrast.

This one made me laugh! I think it's perfect with the graceful, but somehow exaggerated lady contrasting to the clumsy couple. For me the contrasting subjects made the picture.

Hola Salvatore, yes there was music playing. During the winterseason there a number of icerinks open for the public in NYC, this was one of them at the Rockefeller Center. The music was not all that dramatic though :).
