varjag 0 Posted May 25, 2004 How can one made lighting better for this scene in amateur conditions, i.e. only tungsten lamps and maybe daylight? I found that a single source from a lamp softened through a rag works ok, but I was unable to diffuse enough for the harsh shadows to go. Can something be done about that or should I invest into pro lighting? Link to comment
bexta 0 Posted May 25, 2004 I wish you chose a little food piece that didnt blend in with the yellow plate. I know a pea might seem cliche, but it wouldnt become engulfed in the yellow plate. I dont like the lighting at all, because although you maybe have found this a hard time getting the knife and fork not to relfect too much, it make the photo a tad boring. I like how there is a shadow on the left of the plate, perhaps a larger and more powerful would would dramaticise your image. Maybe try again? Link to comment
