alberto.conde 0 Posted May 24, 2004 I wanted to emphasize hao military power can stand the cruel test of time. Humans that died at its walls couldn't resist as wholesome the cruelty of warfare...Did I succeed in depicting it? Link to comment
carsten_ranke 0 Posted May 24, 2004 Excellent composition as always. Beautiful colors, but on the right side I see a magenta cast in the clouds - do I have a problem with my monitor ? Link to comment
jfochoa 0 Posted May 24, 2004 Insuperable! Excelente lúz... cielo... composición..todo! Felicidades. Link to comment
Saludos. Link to comment
alberto.conde 0 Posted May 25, 2004 No, Carsten. It was early evening. Actually, the last rays of the setting sun... Link to comment
bernard_r._negrin 0 Posted May 26, 2004 ¡Tremenda foto! Saludos Link to comment
alberto.conde 0 Posted May 26, 2004 Interesante comentario el tuyo. Link to comment
charodiez 0 Posted May 27, 2004 Alberto ¿puedo decir que me parece "demasiado" imponente? Link to comment
phalvorson 0 Posted May 28, 2004 A striking photo! The colors are fantastic. I find the composition just slightly a bit tight, especially on the right. It does showcase the strength of the tower though. I am concerned about your technique to lighten the foreground grass. If you'd like, email me version of the original and I could see about a different way to bring out the foreground grass. I could send you the details. Link to comment
henrimanguy 0 Posted June 1, 2004 Excellent lighting on this tower, but the frame is a bit close for my taste. The rectangle of the tower occupies too much the rectangle of the frame. There is no more place for the landscape around. Link to comment
alberto.conde 0 Posted June 2, 2004 I agree with the comments that object to such a tight composition. This time, contrary to my usual approach, I wanted to emphasize the massive power of the donjon. That's the reason behind my decission to compose the frame in this way. Link to comment
Jen Selwa 0 Posted July 19, 2004 Alberto, I think this is one of the strongest images in your castle series. I love the vertical composition, the close crop does emphasize the powerful and historical structure that it is, and the clouds and lighting tie it all together for a very dramatic image. Nice work!
