nacivet 0 Posted May 24, 2004 Just to share the view in my bathroom's old mirror. What do you think ? Link to comment
eduard 0 Posted May 24, 2004 Well...thank u 4 sharing. I always liked "old mirrors", just like this one here. Link to comment
feh_r_d_niel 0 Posted May 24, 2004 I think the items in the foreground are pretty distracting. Link to comment
roger_michel 3 Posted May 24, 2004 let's face it, any nude of gitane is going to fly straight to the top of the gallery charts!! she is the closest i have ever seen to perfection. Link to comment
david_depasquale 0 Posted May 24, 2004 Nice shot- though the- rope in front of her eye and face is driving me nuts! Had it been framed to the left , i think it would help alot-but probably knew that - Link to comment
artflei 0 Posted May 24, 2004 Interesting composition - I like it! I also wouldn't mind seeing this subject in MY bathroom mirror... ;-) Arthur Link to comment
rich_villacres 0 Posted May 25, 2004 Jean-Paul, Forget the rope commentary from these guys. It adds the perfect bit of texture and mystery. All the out of focus foreground elements are working beautifully. This is the most dimensional, sensually real nude I have seen on Photo.net.. Link to comment
kazi_ashraf 0 Posted May 25, 2004 I agree with Justin!!! ... Wish I could get views like that in my mirrors! :-) 7/7 Link to comment
robert_stalzer 0 Posted May 25, 2004 Hello Jean-Paul, I really worship your work (the whole portfolio). The idea with the mirror is quite good, although I´d prefer to see more of her face. This image is as well as all of yours technical perfect and very emotive. Thanx for sharing! PS: thanx for your comment to my work. I will be grateful to more of your thoughts about my work. finefacefotos 0 Posted May 25, 2004 great addition to a marvelous portfolio. don't overlook the motion of the hand and the gorgeous background nuances of green and blue greys. the skin tones are beautiful on their own, but the background really amplifies. rope? voyeurism? who cares. do whatever you want in the foreground if you have such nice compositional elements to work with! we should rename the lower-left-thirds crossing point after this shot: "the gitane-perfect-corner". justin_roux 0 Posted May 25, 2004 I'll admit it, it's hard to ignore the show-stopping beauty of the subject but I think the whole work has a lot to be spoken about. There is a great atmosphere of fear and mystery. She's just heard something - she's frozen, maybe even hiding. Caught in the act or maybe she shouldn't have been there to begin with. What's just round the corner that has her so transfixed? We're seeing her through the mirror - maybe we're hiding too. The suspense in this image is palpable, regardless of the aesthetic charm of the leading lady. Fabulous composition, not to be wasted on people saying "Phwoarr" (but you are allowed to think it). Superb work. Link to comment

ajpn 0 Posted May 26, 2004 Bad picture. Beautiful woman. Does that redeem it? Evidently to some. Not for me. Link to comment
jcoker 0 Posted May 26, 2004 If you stare at this picture long enough, you'll DEFINITELY see wood! ;) Link to comment
gusztav_rozsa 0 Posted May 27, 2004 Not that I wanted to take away from your artistic qualities. All your shots are very sensual, including your landscapes. It's just the way you take pictures, I guess, but none the less, she still helps :) Link to comment
nacivet 0 Posted May 27, 2004 Thank you for your comments, what ever their contents, I don't have to tell you which one flattered me the most, even if as you said, Gitane must be for something in your appreciations, to make a test I could send for critic the mirror without her, or Gitane without the mirror. Wood! not rope, sorry if I deceived some of your dream. Thank-you to all of you and thank you to Gitane, and I keep my mirror. Ah thank-you to my lovely wife "Daniele" to accept my favorite "passion" photography, and some of my favorites subjects among other "la femme" "flowers" "landscape" "clouds and bugs" people young and old with wrinckles all over their smyling face or baby face. Enjoy ! Salut ! Link to comment
ken_thalheimer 3,739 Posted May 27, 2004 Beautiful woman, but I don't think I like that rope or whatever it is cutting in front of her Link to comment
