"New" Moon

This is a copy of Moonrise on Hollywood Beach (A 4 sec (auto)exposure

at 10:30PM. Trees are illuminated by a nearby streetlamp.) I brought

the original copy into PS and allowed PS to use Auto Levels - I think

that this is more interesting than the original.

What a striking rendition . . . I have expressed the following in my site (www.buckmanphoto.com) "I believe an image should be visually entertaining. A photograph can be more than what the camera sees. In my belief, it is what I see. It is how I wish it to speak to the viewer. The image, for me, is therefore a combination of my 'previsualization', the camera, and post-camera tools; all utilized to present my artistic opinion." Marvin Sodicoff's "New" Moon is a perfect expression of my belief. He has turned a mundane Florida night scene into an artistic statement of place and time.
