paul_scott1 0 Posted May 23, 2004 Works very well. The two side walls being grey helps a lot. As do the strong colours in the central section. Link to comment
rajeev_bector 0 Posted May 23, 2004 Hi there, I saw your comments posted on my pictures. I am never saying that I am a hotshot. Infact, I am a novice learner, as far as photography is concerned. I dont think they say anywhere that you have to be a hotshop to give a rating of 3/3 :-). Franky speaking, I dont really see a subject in this picture. Infact 70% of the picture is dark grey and all I see is yellow and red color popping out in the middle. Nevertheless, IMHO, we are all here to learn and critque each other. I am sorry if I hurt your feelings. Lets not take this personally, OK ? I am more than happy to know if you dont like any of my shots. Infact, I am trying to learn why you didnt like it. Feel free to post detailed comments ! regards, -- rajeev Link to comment
tomhallphotographycom 0 Posted May 23, 2004 My sentiment. I am just asking when ratins are below average why someone doesn't like it so I can improve my shots or in this case when a personal taste is different then mine. Nothing to get agitated about, just courtesy if you get my drift? So I will do the same and we both can learn right :). Don;t take it to serious either, might come on strong but it is just the lazy attitude of a couple of individuals hehehehe. The subject is that our society seems to become more and more a place where people work work work and play less (the greyness) and the sneakpreview on the grafiti on the other side of the street is the playfullness and colourfull image that in this case (in my vision) resembles the time we have to take to express ourselves in different ways, either sports, art, literature or any non-work related activity that makes us enjoy life more. Hope you can see my point of view. Thanks Rajeev. Link to comment
paul_scott1 0 Posted May 25, 2004 Actually, the photo also works quite well on the analogy of the brief space of time that we are alive. There was another, famous analogy of the bird which briefly flutters in the sunlight and is then gone, though I can't remember who used it. Ball's in your court, Rajeev, so to speak. Link to comment
