The Pali Lookout, Oahu, Hawaii
Rather than simply shoot from the lookout itself as zillions of others do, I searched for something a little different. So I climbed up this steep ridge behind me and looked for something that might be workable which actually included a portion of the lookout. Initially I wasn't so sure about the people being in the scene, but once again without them it looks somewhat empty. I also feel inclusion of the actual lookout here helps people to identify with this even moreso than without. In essence they can say I've been there... literally. This place is known for --and I can certainly vouch-- consistently strong winds...35-40 most all of the time. It's also usually very cloudy. The city below is Kaneohe, on the Eastside of Oahu. As always any opinions are greatly appreciated. www.hawaiianphotos.net
