Perfect tonal range, gives dramatism to the scene. Don't know that much about Cappa's work, but I do about Sebastiao Salgado, and makes me remember his pictures. Good image, congrats!

Nice, Beau. First thing I thought was that it had the look of a war zone. The upper left feels a tiny bit awkward... maybe cropping differently would be helpful? You've probaby considered the options though, and it's really nitpicking on my part. Great shot.

Absolutely fantastic image. Composition and tones couldn't be better. As a digital image, its a joy to look at, but I imagine I'd be blown away by the silver print of this. Excellent work. Some of the best I've seen in quite a while.

Beau, My favourite of your posts. Beautiful tones with everything from deep black to bright white represented. Perfect soft lighting enables all the details to show through, nothing hidden in deep shadow. The guy on the left acts as a frame, stopping the wandering eye & redirecting it to your prime subject who's focus is on some unseen element. The steam provides a good background for this worker's profile. This is a story telling shot which records a ruptured network of pipes and dedicated (& probably unappreciated) workers trading a portion of their lifetimes to keep the city's lifeblood flowing.
