John Crowe 165 Posted May 13, 2004 I am trying to sort out this Escher-like image and a few things are driving me nuts. I do not think you would be using some weird distortion lens on your 4x5 so, is this a functional staircase, and if so please tell me the rails, columns and perhaps even the stairs are at strange angles? Other than that I find the black thing in the bottom right distracting. Thank-you. By the way how do you scan your 4x5's, that is something I can't do yet? Link to comment
marionovak 0 Posted May 14, 2004 to scan, I have a drum scanner :-) This place is real, there are no distortions, it is the way you see it,.on the bottom, there are old presses, part of the scenery Link to comment

colin carron 58,916 Posted May 14, 2004 Nice perspective and the saturation of the colours is great! What lens did you use and did you apply any movements? Link to comment
marionovak 0 Posted May 14, 2004 I used Schneider Super Angulon 90/5.6XL and I didn't do any movements. I was waiting for that moment at dusk when value of the light outside gets the same as the value inside. Film was tungsten balanced Kodak EPY Link to comment
marionovak 0 Posted May 15, 2004 regarding movements, ( I didn't get your question first time) No, I didn't do any movements. I just left the lens in the middle. If I can't get perspective controll, I just go the other way, totaly off ay standards Link to comment

leorossi 0 Posted June 1, 2004 Mario, this is very very good. Somehow I think it would be even better without that confusing bit on the lower right corner. I may be wrong. Link to comment
bretsch 0 Posted June 27, 2007 ...It really is a WOW picture, composition wise is near perfection, and the colors are absolutely amazing. Link to comment
