The composition emphasizes curving and semi diagonal lines. It is pleasing to explore visually. From your title I gather that no post production work beyond necessity were done. I believe, however, that the lit bulbs would appear bright in the real subject and are rather dull here. I would certainly try an adjustment to the contrast curve.
