Dave, I rather like this version better.

A lot of living expressed in this face. The B&W version is stronger, more abstract. I was trying to figure out the lighting setup from the catchlights in his eyes, then I went back and noticed you took this at a Denny's. So much for the light placement!

No cookie-cutter personality here. I can feel these eyes boring holes in my skull. Beautiful tonality throughout. If it was just a tad sharper it would be sublime.

I like this version better however, the color version is very good. I get more strength from the look on this one. Very resolute expression. Great capture!

Great exposure here (imho). Amazing greyscale and dof. A fantastic photo.

I dont know why but does look like an artist/painter/sculpter...may be his eyes....may be that fire....which is still burning !

The monochrome version is much better than the coloured one.

Full of character Dave. He reminds me of a US diver who regularly appear for Discovery channel TV Specials.
