Guido, sono sincero, il soggetto mi piace molto, i colori caldi, il pontile, la persona che si vede sullo sfondo, credo però che la composizione sia la nota dolente, piazzare l'orizzonte al centro dello scatto lo rende piatto, ho provato a tagliare 3/4 di cielo e (secondo me) migliora notevolmente. Non voglio fare il criticone ma penso che i giudizi troppo lusinghieri siano belli da ricevere ma non aiutino a crescere (fotograficamente parlando) ...anzi ti invito ad essere molto severo anche con i miei scatti! Alla prossima ;-)

apprezzo le critiche quando sono costruttive come la tua,e non nego che puoi aver ragione in merito al taglio,con questa inquadratura volevo verticalizzarla di più e sfruttare più cielo scuro per drammatizzarla.

Had some similar pic in the mountains with a boarder. I like the interpretation.

I agree with Andrea's comment entirely, both on the image qualities (and the cropping suggestion) and the philosophic consideration on constructive criticisms.

Hay Guido, you really should see some paintings of the 19th century Romantic paiter, Casper David Friedrich, try google. You will love his work, like Monk at the sea and so on. mike

I love this shot. The DOF is perfect and I just love the vertical format. Nice moody sky and some choppy waves all add to this being an excellent shot.
