tony bell 0 Posted May 11, 2004 Very interesting. Wonderful use of IR. Somehow, the sky just doesn't quite look right but other than that very good. Link to comment
dhawks 0 Posted May 11, 2004 Very serene. The IR works well and adds to the overall effect rather than "falsifying" it. I also like the way the sky turned out. Nice work. Link to comment

john_bourgon 0 Posted May 12, 2004 Beautiful is all I can say. I also have a Sony 717. How did you do this. Filter? Neg? PS filter? Solarize? Link to comment
photobyas 0 Posted May 12, 2004 Hi Tony, this is really a great picture. I like the composition and the toning. The only thing that does not really work for me is the sky. It looks as if it was rendered with Photoshop. Some weeks ago a tried something similar creating this night mood using IR photos. I would be interested to exchange some ideas on how to achieve this effect. If you are also interested, please feel free to send me an email. You can also find some of these pictures at photo.net.Best wishes,Anthony Link to comment

alienspecimen 0 Posted May 12, 2004 I wish you used perspective control lens when you took the shot (or corrected it in software), ie IMHO you tilted the lens too much upward. Link to comment
pradeep1 0 Posted May 12, 2004 Tony this is a masterpiece, you are making me jealous, i have a R72 Hoya filter which is useless, i cant use it to good effect on my canon G2, I salute to the IR King. cheers! Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted May 13, 2004 I am sorry but I find this relentlessly ugly. It looks fake from every angle, compositionally, tonally, and from a color perspective. Link to comment

tony georgiadis 0 Posted May 14, 2004 John am sorry i didn't reply how I did it since you own a Sony 717 too It's great did you ever tried to shoot IR on nIghtshot?Anyway now, I experiment a lot with Hue, saturation,Levels,Brightness, contrast,Channel mixer, and a very useful tool not to be ignored Dodging and burning, till i get the desired effect, and due that this is an IR photo and the foliage is white it takes a kind of glowing effect,It's all about experimenting all sorts of aproaches till you get the desired effect.I wish you good luck...Not forget to try IR with your Sony it's something it does QUITE WELL.
