vorlandphotography 0 Posted May 11, 2004 Good job Linda. We could use more sensitive photography featuring males on photonet, altho a glance at my portfolio will show that I am not a role model. Link to comment
miller1 0 Posted May 11, 2004 Nice job Linda. He certainly looks older than 15. Is that a "get the camera away from me" look? Or did you just tell him he is grounded..6/6 Regards,,,Elizabeth Link to comment
w. roger keagle 0 Posted May 11, 2004 You have a gift, not only of knowing when to push a button but of what, and in those two things elevate this to ART ! 7/7 For this love ! Roger Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted May 11, 2004 Yes, that's it ... that's the expression that greets me every day, all day long. You've captured it well, Linda! Bravo!! Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted May 11, 2004 I seem to barely remember those days anymore because they have been replaced with grandchildren rushing to greet us with open arms and smiling faces. Gods little rewards for enduring the punishment and frustration of teenagers. At times I wondered if it was worth it, now I know! Nice capture, he'll be explaining that look for years to come. ljk 0 Posted May 11, 2004 Thanks everyone. This is my nephew. He's a really good kid...at the age now that is trying to push away. No kisses anymore...Aunt Linda! When I saw the light and asked him to sit for me, he said...OK, but I won't smile! (didn't want that anyway) Link to comment

w. roger keagle 0 Posted May 11, 2004 Linda said, "When I saw the light and asked him to sit for me" She found the light first, how instinctive and right ! A lesson for us all, this is a great shot, has us all remembering and thinking ! Again, Well done Linda ! Roger Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted May 12, 2004 I agree with Roger- wonderful portrait. A handsome youngman you have captured here. Link to comment
jim g. 0 Posted May 12, 2004 Linda, you've done well here. All too often, photographers overlook the potential of young male models. They can put on different expressions, reflect varied moods, and come across as complex individuals. We should pay more attention to them. Your nephew is indeed a handsome young man and should be photographed more. Link to comment
steve_w6 0 Posted May 13, 2004 This kid is destined for a life of crime!! Keep this photo, you could use this picture for his mug shot!! :) Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted May 14, 2004 Having four sons and a grandson, I can really identify with this one. So tough on the outside, but still a child on the inside. Boys don't grow up until they are about 28 (if they ever do actually grow up). Link to comment
donnaalbers 0 Posted May 14, 2004 Ah, that sullen expression! I see it every day! Mine just turned 18 and I'm still waiting for a smile. This is a touching portrait, Linda. Wonderfully captured. Link to comment
margaret_s. 0 Posted May 14, 2004 Boyz in the Hood? :) This is really good, Linda. The skin color is perfect (no magenta cast!!) and the lighting is great. I like the fact that his cap is slightly highlighted, the shadow softly fading on his face - we can even see the peach fuzz on his upper lip. And that expression - says it all. Nice job!
