justthings 0 Posted May 28, 2001 I like the composition overall. I think that the black sky is too black, especially as the transition from the water to the sky is so abrupt. I'd like to see a version of this with a somewhat less black sky. Great work though! Link to comment

I think the blackness of the sky helps in directing one's attention to the poles in the foreground and the one in the water. The fact that the sky is darker than the water surface I find cool as well as the three bright spots' forming a triangle. The darkness of the sky also helps in underlining the heavy texture of the poles in front - a brighter sky might have competed with it. One of those images that make me fall in love with b&w more and more. Link to comment
