Depth of field is a little shallow, there are out-of-focus spots down the center and along the top...Other than that, excellent shot. Nice lighting.

As is,... I think it works pretty well. I suspect that it would have been an even more dynamic composition if the main stem running across the center horizontally were composed to be a diagonal. Strong diagonal lines in a composition are very dynamic as compared to either horizontal or vertical. Overall, it is a pleasing image.

great color and light. i've been trying to capture this type of image but find it difficult. did you use a flash or natural light?

Thank you everyone, its a very simple picture, David, i didnt use flash, it was just the sun as a backlight for this one, my mother was holding the mango leaf when i shot it. cheers!

Your title is very appropriate. The leaf almost looks like an aerial view of one of our US Interstate highways and its major exit roads feeding into smaller side roads, then into even smaller communities. In this case, is it Nature imitating life, or is it life imitating Nature? I tend to think the latter. Nice job!

Simple and nice shot. The intricate details of the leaf can be clearly seen here. The uneven lighting helps to give the subject more depth. A little more DOF would have ensured the top portion of the leaf be in focussed too. BTW, you have a very good portfolio. Keep it up.
