John Crowe 165 Posted May 9, 2004 I know you may not like my opinions, but I really like your work. The bouy is a distraction and so is the seperate little cloud directly above it. A perfectly square crop starting from the right would place the emphasis on the "god" rays and the beautiful highlights in the water. Awesome, you found a great spot here by the pool. Link to comment
marionovak 0 Posted May 9, 2004 Hi John,,Your suggestions are good, I agree with most of them. Difference is that I look at my images as they look when they are printed, and I usually print big, 30"x40" and up. Lots of those shots are assigment shots as well. For example, this shot is part of campaign about Costa Rica. In this shot, it is not buoy in the water, it is anchored boat, but you can't see that from the shot when you view it on the screen. Idea behind it is to show that in Costa Rica, you can find calm waters in the coves where you can anchor your boat at will. Also, it is juxtaposition between how small the boat is and expanse of the landscape which overpowers everything else,.. Link to comment
