Mixed Lighting situation, double exposure, set of filters for

fluorescent, and tungsten balance for the rest

I noticed unusual sharpness compare to majority photos posted and went to look closer. LF is nice, but color here doesn't add much. The scene calls for b&w. I just tried to convert it to b&w via 'Channel Mixer' on green channel in photoshop - looks much better.

Might be better in BW, but I get the feeling this may very well be a client shot. If so, color is the choice. The clarity from LF must be very good in the original print. Very nice handling of tricky lighting. Filtered out the casts nicely

Ilia, this is assigment shot, just like the rest of my architecture. I'm tying to show some photographers, ( very few that actually pay attention), how the things are done when on assigment in very difficult lighting situations. Image is done with 4"x5" camera, that is the reason why image is sharp.

Sorry for possible misunderstanding. I just considered your request for critique only from "the best look" prospective and didn't think of client requirements.

Hello Ilia, I'm sorry if I sounded bit "hard ass" I posted some of my work not so much to get critique, as much to show how I do some of the shots that require difficult lighting situations. Also, at teh same time, client requires that something that is not that creative, but utilitarian is to be photographed,..

Your interior images always stand out on this site. I've gotten to the point where I can pick them out from a mile away! I know you have no control over the interior itself and your process of simplification is excellent, but that darn light fixture and tiny column below it are both a pain in the neck. In such a good composition those little things drive me nuts - oh well, my problem. Excellent work again.

John, thank you for your comments, I could have retouched the image, but I chosed not to. I just wanted to show what photographer has to deal with when on assigment

Here is retouched photo, fast job, but still ,... It can be done, but I don't agree with it,..When something can be "Photoshopped" that is not real deal,..
