Used a monopod. Adjusted and cropped in Photoshop cs. Yes, I know that 800 speed film is not optimal for landscape photography. I am working on composition and am also working within a budget. I used 400 and 800 speed film for this entire trip in Alaska merely for the flexibility ... I wanted to be able to shoot a couple of pics of a mountain then of a bear then of a building in changing weather conditions (often overcast) and with different length lenses without having to change out film. Thanks for the comments on film ... next time I go to Alaska (!!) I will take some 100 ISA with me!

This is a shot that I am fond of ..... but, the one thing that bothers

me about it is that the tree farthest to the left is not upright, which

is probably more about my choice of lens or my inability to use

PS effectively than it is about the tree's growth patter. Any

comments or ratings are greatly appreciated! :-)

The composition is straightforward and pleasing. The white clouds give a good contrast to the blue sky.

I think the light is too harsh and would have been better with the sun lower in the sky....to be honest i didnt notice the tyree till you mentioned it.

Nice landscape as usual, I like specially the clouds.

I like the lighting and mountains work well too. To straighten up you left hand tree you could try

Image>Transform>distort then gently pull out the left top corner a little.

(That is what it is in PS Elements anyway)

I really like this Lou. Don't fret about the tree, the rest of them seem prependicular. So your shot was on and mother nature was a little off.

Nice shot Lou Ann. The tree on the left is fine with me. In order to focus on the trees, mountains and sky, I would crop out some of the brush in the foreground. But that's just a personal thing.

This one 'hits' me, don't ask me why, I have sometimes difficultys to look with a technical eye, so this is my answer from my 'emotional' eye

Heh heh, Dennis! I'm getting a bit tired of them, too ... LOL!! Thanks for putting up with my months of uploads from this trip. I took 34 rolls of film, and the most recent shots are from roll #29. And ... the final two or three rolls are actually NOT from Alaska itself, but from the drive back to DC. It won't be long now. :-) [And ... I'll need to be finding some new subjects, huh? :-D]
