Sunset at Shipwrecks

vincetylor

www.hawaiianphotos.net/kauaiphotos.htmThis is another sunset where the sun was actually setting behind me rather than in front as is quite customary. I have actually found that these sunsets are somewhat preferred nowadays. I often will find a more dramatic sky with better color in the clouds having the suns rays hitting directly-on rather than being behind. Also the foreground as well as the background wall has a measure of lighting and colors not available when the sun is behind them. I also find this style of shooting gives the photographer many more options than limiting ourselves with the traditional straight-on approach exclusively. I took this at Shipwrecks Beach in Poipu, Kauai last Summer. Used a tripod and cable release for some smoother action. Your comments and opinions are always appreciated. www.hawaiianphotos.netwww.hawaiianphotos.net/Kauaitours.htm
