foureyes 3 Posted April 30, 2004 The low position of the camera created the illusion that the model is coming out of the sand,....enjoy ! I thank you for taking the time to view my work, any comments or suggestions are always welcome. Link to comment

salvatore.mele 1 Posted April 30, 2004 Another wonderful one, indeed. The colurs are wonderful, no doubts. And the towel really "projects" her out of the picture. My eye lands on the towel, follows the arms and is then projected in the clouds, only to fall back down and start it over: excellent! The only thing which bothers me in this process is the moment in which I get across the horison... that line attracts my eyes and weakens all the effect... but I am not sure on what one should have done there.... maybe shooting from an even lower position? Wayne Melia 5,976 Posted April 30, 2004 As said before ... an excellent contribution to a striking portfolio. Both concept and execution are commendable, and I find the lighting on her hair to be a detail that particularily adds in creating a point of interest in the bottom and perspective. Kudos Link to comment

someoneelse 1 Posted May 1, 2004 Excelent shot, I like very much the combination of the clouds, and this see wave wich stops at 3/4 of the line. Don't ask me why, that's how I see it. And what I also like, is if she only have arms and a head, gives for me a special effect. Link to comment
marionovak 0 Posted May 1, 2004 Great shot, but not as strong as other ones you have on site, still 6/6 Link to comment
John Crowe 165 Posted May 3, 2004 Striking image. The contrast of colours is excellent. The towel stops one from imagining that she is protruding from the beach sand, but I do not mind that. The unnatural position of the hands and the tension it creates disturbs the harmony of the image, not to mention my soul. This is obviously intentional but to what end - to drive us crazy! If so, well done! Link to comment
mediumformat 2 Posted May 3, 2004 I really like the vision of the photo and use of color. Is the woman and towel added to this image digitally or was she there on the beach? Link to comment
christina_kavanagh 0 Posted May 3, 2004 Dear foureyes, I love this picture! I teach expectant moms relaxation classes, and often use guided imagery. One of my favorite scenes to describe for them is lying alone on a beach with no distractions. I have them strech their arms just like she is doing, I have them imagine themselves settling down into the warm sand which is just how she looks! I have them "hear" the waves, and "feel" the sun on them, both of which you can see in your picture. I would LOVE to be able to show your photo in class. May I? Christina ck40@aol.com Link to comment
harry eggens 0 Posted May 3, 2004 Great shot. Love the way the models arms are reached up to the sky and show vertical lines crossing the horizontal one of the horizon. Very beautiful color contrast. Excellent work....Best regards, Harry Link to comment
