'The Expression Says It All'

pradeep1

The Fourteenth in my series on 'A South Indian Wedding' - 'The Expression Says It All'. The atmosphere after the bridegroom ties the knot is wonderful, its happiness all around and everyones smiling and congratulating each other and the young couple. In the picture you can see the broad smiles of the bride and the bridegroom. Look forward to the last photo in the series of 'A South Indan Wedding'A small request - I would like the members to see all the photographs in this series in totality as this is more of a series and a story rather than individual photographs :)

Yes I know the hand is a distraction but this is something you have to accept in a wedding the priests move their hand helter skelter :) Look forward to the last photo in the series of 'A South Indan Wedding'

Hey Pradeep.. I got succered into doing 2 weddings (photography) this summer for my friends. They both got me books (to make sure I don't screw it up).. one of the things that caught my eye was this line from 'The art of wedding Photography - Cantrell, Cohen', it pointed out a very interesting fact, it said 'No man ever dreams of being the groom and every woman dreams of being the bride'.. I guess in some of ur previous portraits the bride was not the center of attention and some even made her look plain. But in this image she really looks beautiful.. if she were signing ur check.. I think she'd be very happy.

Well All the best for your assignment, will be waiting to see your results :) As for your comment, i think the adage is true, guys are happy before they are married and women are happy after they are married ;) i am just kidding, looks like lot of them like this photo.

Have to agree with Vik on this one, she is definitely looking happier in this image. Mind you they both are. Of course that could also be that the marriage is probably half done. These ceremonies can sometimes feel very long.

VIK good luck on your shoot this summer, I'm sure you'll do fine.

Excellent shot; you've really caught the 'busyness' of Indian weddings, which i remember well from two i've been to. really nice.
