'I Do'

pradeep1

The Eleventh in my series on 'A South Indian Wedding' - 'I Do'. The 'Kanya Dhaanam' is followed by the bridegroom taking the girls hand in marriage and to keep her happy in all ways possible. In this photo you can see lots of bangles worn by the bride and the armlet that she is wearing is called 'Vanki'. Look forward to the next in the series of 'A South Indan Wedding'A small request - I would like the members to see all the photographs in this series in totality as this is more of a series and a story rather than individual photographs :)

Pradeep, I tried to find a way to darken her Mehndi. In the process, I adjusted the levels a bit and then used some softlighting to attempt to darken the her mehndi. I'm not sure if I accomplished what I sought to do. Let me know what you think.

Thats nice! the main reason that the mehendi is not too dark is because it started fading off as the mehendi was held a few days before the wedding :)

I prefer the original photo without contrast, because it gives feeling more antiqe and improve the importance of the action.

i prefer the adjusted version above. The original photo is very busy, the scene is not contrasty enough so it's hard to find the point without the description you wrote... The sepia tone does not help with this. The composition, however, is really nice.
