Well composed - all the lines of the landscape work well. I think I might crop about a third of the valley floor from the bottom but that's just me.

I agree with Colin - the foreground is fairly bland and you want the focus on the swirls of the snow and rocks. Lou Ann, I think your mountain shots are some of your best compositions.

Very nice Landscape. Reminds on my trip to Alaska long time ago. Side lighting (perhaps in early morning or late evening) could have greatly improved the photo.

I've been quietly keeping an eye on your Alaska images. They are very enjoyable to look at, but this has got to be my most favourite of them all, so far...

Nice work, thanks for sharing them all, Lou Ann!

A nice location, good eye to recognize this. I too agree with the foreground comments. It would balance better in my opinion if there was a bit less of it. I am also curious to know why you chose an 800 speed film for this landscape? Initially I thought perhape your scanner may be the reason why it seems to lack a bit in the color/contrast department, as well as somewhat grainy. Perhaps this is the look you were after?? Anyway, a small crop as well as a little more pop would take this from the good to very good. Look forward to seeing more of your work from this trip.

Good camera position, and perspective of dramatic scene. Clouds weak, and dont really add anything to the shot..They interfere slightly with the mountains outlines.... 800 film speed not necassary, 100 would have been more saturated, for sky etc. I stop down would have been better, as snow is over exposed, and that would also have given more darker areas for balance. Details not sharp enough.. no tripod, or cable release or 2 second timer, or the poor zoom optics..A prime would have shone here..
