This is a macro underwater photo of a sea snail on a seafan. I took

it with my Nikonos underwater camera and a strobe in Gran Lido,

Jamaica in 1995. The actual size of the snail is about 3 inches.

Unless somebody attempted they don't have idea how difficult is to shoot under the water,.. great shot. Which lens did you use? I've been using Nikonos IV but so far I have to come up with the shot that I'm happy with

Thanks, Mario. I took this picture so long ago that I don't really know what lens I used but it has been one of my favorite u/w shots.

Yeah, I noticed that guy that gave you lowest ratings takes pictures of wire baskets and color pencils lined up on the table, very challenging indeed! How many times I would come from photo shoot and my whole gear would have to go for thorough cleaning and overhaul because of salt erosion, sand, dust and all other elements that are not that "user" friendly for cameras. Not to mention how many cameras just simply refused to work after one of my trips,..

I really like the colors you have hear. And the shapes. But it is a little abstract for my tast. I enjoy abstractions, but usually the abstraction can easily be interpreted as something thoughtfull. Im just not sure what you are trying to say with this image. Take a look at some of Edward Weston's work. Fruits that look like women, and women that look like fruit! He might spark some ideas..

Wow, what a great picture. If I hadn't been looking in the underwater category, I wouldn't have figured out that it was something aquatic. After seeing the comments, especially by Mario, I can appreciate what a fine photo this is, shot in the underwater. :)
