On the walls of all restaurants in Vitina ( a village in the region of Arcadia in Peloponese) there were hanging photos from the 20s, 30s and 40s showing moments of peoples' everyday life in those days. Nearly all photos had a sepia tone and were extremely grainy. Inspired by those photos I looked for a proper motif in order to create such a nostalgic image myself.

yannis: great image. try cropping the top to eliminate the balcony's. they are distracting and add little to the image.
