It might be my taste ,but I like the way focus tapers off to the wings. Is this from the original or was it done after . Good Job!

Wordless. I am blown away by your photo album. I can only say I have great respect for your artistic work. Fabulous to every letter of the word.

Was this picture's background manipulated? Owls fly mostly at night so was this a set-up with sensors to trigger the exposure or more fake than real? I will have to give you the benefit of the doubt. The end result is great - but the very small image suggest you are hiding imperfect manipulation. You can go 800 pixels on photo.net so why didn't you?

Wonderful effect! 7/7. I am curious to now how this was done. It looks it was set up. I guess it is possible to get such a blur with 1/500 shutter speed. ..The top of right wing is light greenish, where as left wing is brownish!?. Is it due to ambient light?

Surely the clue to technique is on Miguel's (linked) website where this image is found in the "Art" folio, along with some heavily PS'd but still great images. Undeniably striking.

One of the best nature photos I've seen ! The sharp focus on the face, the wonderfully blurred, symmetrical wings, the eerie, OOF background ... perfect ! There are plenty of great photos in your "New Photos" gallery, too.

Hola Miguel,

I grew up in a household full of "Nature" images, particularly birds. So in the span of some years, I have looked at lots and lots of bird pictures, ok? Therefore I feel I can authoratively state that this one is really stunning. A real beauty. What I really, really like is that slight asymmetry that gives me a sensation of the slightly skewed but tightly controlled momentum which to me is the real life flight path of a raptor homing in on its prey. Well Done and Congrats!
