Magical light

The photo is taken in the Mt. Rainier National park, at sinrise. The fog which covered the lake before the sinrise is almost gone and it will be just a few minites before the reflection will disapppear as well.

You have paid close attention to every detail in the framing of this image. The saturation is pleasing. I think that you might have lost the subtle effect of the fog if you had any more detail in the shadow area.

Magical composition, magical balance and harmony, magical nature colors, magical exposure, magical perspective, magical feeling......Color is joy. One does not think joy. One is carried by it. Ernst Haas. The father of color photography.

Excellent shot, is the slide as contrasty as this upload? I think the exposure is just right, the wispy fog takes up the shadows well and would of been lost as Sapphire said.

Isn't the moose Polarizer a warming one? Suprised you stacked a warming filter on top of it or did I misread?

Yes, the slide is very close to the posting, it is somewhat brighter and has better detailes

in darker area as expected with film. I found

myself rather frustrated with decreased quality of the images due to scanning and the effort it takes to make the image look like it was. The right part of the slide is more yellowish due to

fog in extremely bright rising sun from the right. The color of the grass (bright yellow/green in the rising sun) is better on the slide, it is about the same on the larger non jpg version. The Moose polarizer is the warming

one, that is what I meant, there is no additional filter. Thank you all for your comments and ratings, I will post more pictures from this sunrise later.

Marianna, I agree with you 100% about the quality loss due to scanning and compenssion. Have you noted that different software or browser shows (for the same picture) different colors? I sometime can't upload pictures because the difference from the original. Congratulation for your portfolio, I can't imagine the beauty of a projection of your slides.
