Sunset on Enchanted Rock

Hi Don, you were at Enchanted Rock a day before I was... Very nice work!

Don. This is a very powerful image and you did it well to add in the evening sun without lens flare. The muted but vibrant colors blend in very nicely with the dark silhouette of the fantastic branches of the tree. No signs of artifact or vignetting to spoil the look of the sky. Wouldn't have done better myself. Congratulations.

Shot this on top of Enchanted Rock just north of Fredericksburg,

Texas in the heart of the relatively famous "hill country." It was

tough climbing up and going down was worse after our legs were ready

to give out in the dark!

I think this is the best sunset in your portfolio. Like the composition. One little gripe would be the left edge - the branch moving up/left bothers me a bit - perhaps a tighter crop could improve - but that's nitpicking.
