catchlight 0 Posted April 9, 2004 We had some of the lower branches removed from some evergreens in our yard. The next day, this eagle spend 15 minutes on a perch the arborist had left. This is essentially a grab shot from an upstairs window, but I've now got my 70-200mm with a 1.4X TC on a tripod and trained on the branch in case he comes back. I've never done bird photography, but after this I can sure see why people find it so challenging and enjoyable. Comments and suggestions appreciated. Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted April 30, 2008 I find the low ratings here really surprising, to say the least. This is a catch of a lifetime. I have rowed miles in lakes in Florida and gone to known eagle nests, and still have come away empty-handed, even though I did get to see the birds. This is good, Brent. I know you probably could do without the scars on the trees, but, without cutting away the limbs, you never would have had this opportunity. --Lannie Link to comment
