I went back
this evening and from the backside of this refinery I found this. I
kept thinking that security was going to come along and lay it on me
for hanging on their cyclone fences, but when the actual police drove
past they just looked at me like I must have belonged. Funny stuff
what a decent SLR will do for you. Thank you for comments and
everything else you feel like laying on me. Peace. =)

Well seen. I don't think you need the framing provided by the heavy shadows, though. With the crop, there are no minor distractions and every element is repeated.

I think Carl's crop greatly enhances the image. I like this one even better than your other one! Well done.

Thanks everyone for the comments. Carl, this is probably the most effective crop anyone has suggested for one of my images. Really works well. Thank you.

My pleasure. It's a great shot. I just trimmed some fat. :-)

If you wanted to crop it square, you could clone the lower right seam. Mine ends up being more along the lines of an 8X10 or 11X14.

(edit . . my wife says the square crop is better because it emphasizes the SENSUOUS curved line of the lower shadow. Now comments like that always get my attention. :-))

Ha ha. The sensuous... love the way that sounds too~! I kind of think square might be the way to go in this case.

I'm sure I'll be doing some more with this place, no doubt. I mean, I haven't been there yet in the morning. That may happen over the weekend.

I'm definitely going to have to try it square, especially if the lady recommends that for enhancing the sensual! Haha.

Kind words Phillip-TY.

Great shot, I haven't found any of these tanks near where I live , but I have always wanted to do some really abstract shots like this.

The design is very nice. My one complaint would be that your depth of field is too shallow and the right hand side is out of focus. This badly needs to be tack sharp.!
