I spent a week in Jaisalemer in November of 1990 with the hopes of getting an exhibition print and enjoying the beauty there. Well, I loved the place and the surrounding desert but no exhibition print after a dozen rolls or more. There is something to be said about using a tripod in very low light. I just bought my first last month since I always though its weight would just go over the top of what I could handle given other gear I carry.; but now I have been shown the real light- the nice low light. Your photograph is inspiring me to think pre-dawn and post-sunset.

This is quite wonderful!

Wonderful image. The tone, mood, and lighting are captured wonderfully. Reflection sets it all off. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks a lot for all your comments. I was by the

lake as early as 5 am, with sunrise at least an

hour and a half away. I did not expect to see

something like this that early in the morning.

Needless to say, I am glad I got there when I did.

Thanks again.

I have revisited this shot again and, again, I am impressed by its serene beauty and perfect composition. I would, also, have it framed and hanging on my studio wall. Perfect image, Vishwanath!
