Alau Island Sunrise (Best Large)

www.hawaiianphotos.net/mauiphotos.htmAlthough it was completely overcast and drizzly early in the morning, I decided to go out anyway. (After all, airfare, rental car and motels are not free). Since not much was worth shooting early in the rain, I just hung around and talked with a few campers, while fiddling around a bit. I vividly remember when things started to change, rather suddenly. I told my camper buddies it was time for me to get to work. The skies opened up and the suns rays started shooting out as well. Rarely can I catch anything decent when the sun is this far up. And rarely if ever do I liike to go out when it looks hopeless like it did here. Just goes to show...you never really know. Taken in Hana, Maui.
