salvatore.mele 1 Posted June 9, 2004 We were sailing in two on a 24feet/8meter boat and had a spinnaker [=large sail, tricky to operate] flying up. It is the colorful strucure reflected in the sunglasses. I was busy taking pictures and left him with steering the boat with quite some precision to keep the sail nicely full of air...it was tricky to do and in turn seemed to please him, hence the title. I am not that good at portraits, but I'd like to know if this sorts of conveyes the idea... Thanks! Link to comment
susanj1 0 Posted June 9, 2004 It could be a sunglasses ad but a sailor will relate to that joy and peace in his face knowing his rig is tuned and his sails are trimmed. Link to comment
david_lewis10 0 Posted June 10, 2004 Edit out those nose hairs... :) I do see what you were attempting to capture.... and you did. Good job. Link to comment
olov 0 Posted June 21, 2004 Like previous comment, I think you captured the right expression, it reminds me of the great moments I've had on a sailing boat and makes me want to do more. The photo is therefor a succes for me but aestheticly, I think the background spoils a little.. Link to comment
matthew_s._schwartz 0 Posted July 13, 2004 I agree with the above poster. I would love to see your face against blue skies, whereas this looks like total cloud cover. Ah well, what can ya do. Still a nice shot. Link to comment
