Guest Guest Posted March 25, 2004 To me, 'originality' in a floral photo is subtle. Yet, this one reminds me of your unforgettable 'heirloom' photo, one of my personal faves. Both have an appealingly sultry yet restful visual feel. Question: do you utilize reflector(s) in your floral shoots? - best, Gary Link to comment
donnaalbers 0 Posted March 25, 2004 Thank you Igor, Loft and Gary for your comments. Gary, I'm still relatively new to photography...I'm embarrassed to admit that I just learned that you're not supposed to take flower pics in direct sunlight, hence, both these photos were taken on overcast days. I also played a little with the depth of field on this one to soften the edges of the petals. As of yet, I've never used a reflector but I'm interested in trying one out. Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted March 26, 2004 I love it! It would get a 7 from me for aesthetics if the yellow were a bit more saturated! :-) Regards! Link to comment
w. roger keagle 0 Posted April 2, 2004 For just starting out, you have a good grasp of some difficult concepts, like DOF which you used here like a pro ! *R* Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted April 11, 2004 Nice composition. I tend to like individual flower shots more than those in a grouping, so this one works well for me. Link to comment
