I want to rate these images, but I can't. Here's why.

 

Basically, this work is pornographic. And no, I'm not a prude. But, come one. Pictures of women in bondage, women making threatening or self-mutilating gestures with heavy equipment, blatant, crotch close-ups, etc. Art?

 

Now, there is no question of the photographer's skill and technical merits -- his are many, evidenced by these and his non-pornographic work. Great eye for composition, color, lighting, printing, etc.

 

But, folks, WHY is photo.net getting absolutely swamped with work that, elsewhere, would require some kind of age verification -- this is not venus de milo.

Well, this one doesn't look very pornographic to me!

The woman...well...everybody sees she's spectacular, that's nobody's merit. As for the photo, again great tones and lighting, but there is nothing new about the composition and nothing really artistic to see.

Maybe there should be a third rating: technicality
