fab 0 Posted March 24, 2004 Nice natural pose, Picture on wall interfering with subject. Too many distractions. Colours in fish tank draw the eye to it and not the subject. Link to comment
Wayne Melia 6,000 Posted March 24, 2004 Yup, works for me. Nice light without harsh shadows on her face. Direct eye contact and full frontal pose (including the symmetrical arms) engage the viewer. And yet the informality of the busyness conveys the "encounter" message. Of course a beautiful face is a visual grabber at any time. Link to comment
wingell 0 Posted March 24, 2004 Thanks for the comments, everyone. I, too, was bothered at first by the colors in the fish tank, but this really was a spontaneous, informal encounter in a coffee shop (we began conversing when she noticed me examining the photos on the wall behind her) and I think the various elements in the surroundings convey that. Of the handful of shots I took, this one, with her direct but relaxed demeanor, seems to me to portray her at her best--a lovely young woman sipping coffee in a cafe but remaining connected with that cell phone at the ready. Thanks very much for looking! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted June 30, 2004 Lovely. Is her right hand overexposed? Otherwise, just right. Link to comment
dberryhill 3 Posted August 7, 2004 Lovely, relaxed shot. I wouldn't trade this for a trunk full of setup glamour shots. Link to comment
