salvatore.mele 1 Posted April 20, 2004 Climbing the Mt.Blanc de Tacul in Chamonix Alps, France. This is takenat sunrise, after few hours of glacier traversing in the night, havingclimbed at around 3500m/11000ft. Here Iused a 50mm and did some cropping on the left hand side. This otherpicture (also cropped) is taken a minute before with a 20mm(changing lens inthose conditions, and de-fog them, takes a while). Which perspective worksbetter for you? Link to comment
cityshapes 0 Posted April 20, 2004 Both are sharp - I'd prefer a combination - more foreground plus the panoramic view... Link to comment
uwestiens 0 Posted May 9, 2004 Spectacular folder, Salvatore. I always dreamed of hiking (not climbing, that's too hard for me) through the french alps. Maybe one day I get around it. Link to comment
auke bonne van der weide 0 Posted September 13, 2004 I still believe a man should suffer on his way to the top. There is the view.........his price for suffering. Link to comment
salvatore.mele 1 Posted September 13, 2004 ...I agree, and I've suffered my fair share of times...actually cannot really remember those I did not, for a reason or the other, even just the 1am alarm clock... but -please- NOT IN FRONT OF MY CAMERA! :) s Link to comment
anish 0 Posted October 24, 2004 A classic mountaineering shot! I wish the horizon were set a little higher, leaving just a strip of sky. the pale color of the morning sky almost takes away from the awesome warm tones on the mountain. And although the hikers are silouhetted, they seem to get lost in this shot. perhaps there is too much going on? great shot, though. 5/6. -Anish Link to comment
vibin 0 Posted March 12, 2005 After seeing so many photos of the same mountains taken from the same viewpoints, it's refreshing to see your photographs. Link to comment
