salvatore.mele 1 Posted May 2, 2004 Profiting from the place we had put down our ice axes to take a rest after having summited (albeit from the very easy side!) Pointe Lachenal, I thought of taking a slightly different "foreground vs. background" summit view... Your opinions/comments ? Link to comment
chris pastella 0 Posted May 2, 2004 I like that, Salvatore; imho you shouldn't have cropped off the mountain top on the upper right side. Good work, by the way ! bye, chris Link to comment
salvatore.mele 1 Posted May 2, 2004 Hi Chris, good eye. Actually, I had not cropped it when on location, but I realised once back home that the horison had been horribly tilted, and so I lost it. Taking pictures in that conditions is not so easy. This annoyes me even more, since the next day we climbed exactly that mountain (see the rest of this folder) and my idea here was to take a nice view of it from the N, since we would not have gone up that way... thomas_collins1 0 Posted May 25, 2004 Don't be too hard on yourself. Photography at high altitude is indeed an effort. I do like the arrangement here, the foreground picks, and the the sweeping view! Someday I'll have to break my gear out again... ;-) Link to comment
paulus 0 Posted July 20, 2004 Nice 'new' perspective, I like it. maybe a bit less foreground to make the mountains more impressive? but keep the ice axis! Link to comment
mountaineer1965 0 Posted September 14, 2004 VERY NICE. My climbing partner took a shot very similar to this one once. Unfortunately he only had a 1.2MP digital camera and it lacked the impacted that this one has. Very sharp and well exposed. A nice capture for your wall for sure!! Link to comment
