gaetanchevalier 5 Posted March 22, 2004 Photo taken on the ferry at Levis. You can see a partial reflection because there is ice on the Saint-Laurent river. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted March 22, 2004 Looks like that ice has started to melt away. Nice how it breaks up the symmetry. - best, Gary Link to comment
robidooo 0 Posted March 22, 2004 I would like to see a little more details in the buildings. Link to comment
Link to comment
Link to comment
jos www.inpix.biz 0 Posted March 22, 2004 Gaetan, the colours and reflections are beautiful...I would have liked to see the main buildings more to the left...small point for such a beautiful shot. Link to comment
gaetanchevalier 5 Posted March 23, 2004 Yes, it will be more beautiful not seeing the main building in the center. So I have made a new crop and I think it is better. Thanks all for your comments. Link to comment
cristina_fumi 0 Posted March 23, 2004 it seems that you spend a lot of time on that ferry! I love this one and agrre with you that it is worther to loose some detail in the buildings than having a lighter sky... Link to comment
gaetanchevalier 5 Posted March 23, 2004 Cristina, Yes I take since a few month the ferry at least once a week. It is part of my walking (I walk more than on hour each day with my camera). They are 2 ferries in the day each departure at 30 minutes interval. The 'trip' last only 15 minutes, but make great opportunity to capture beautiful shot. I am planning with my new Canon OES 10-D to take original shot on that boat. For me it is very relaxing to be on the ferry and watch it navigating in winter true the ice. It is spring now but yesterday monday 22th march was very cold here. Today we will have about 2 inches of snow. Winter for me is a special opportunity to take shot to see Quebec in another perspective. Thanks Link to comment
mcsimard 0 Posted April 4, 2004 To walk one hour each day with a camera...what a dream, although I don't think my suburbian neighborhood would provide such beautiful views. Superb image. the band of purple ice adds an effective element of depth to the composition.
