Although both are great, I like this profile shot better than the more direct one. I saw an earlier comment of another portrait where a rule of thumb was pointed out that if you do such a profile the far eye should not be visible becuase it makes the nose (er beak in this case) look bigger and is less flattering to the subject. Don't know if it applies to birds, but just thought I'd pass it on.
