colin carron 58,916 Posted March 16, 2004 Ely is a perhaps my favourite cathedral partly because of its dramatic location visible for miles rising up from the surrounding flat fenland. It has also been improved by collapsing in places over the years so has a lopsided appearance from the front where a part of that fell down and an amazing lead covered wooden 'Octagon' in place of the middle tower which also fell down. In this folder there is also a crop from this frame giving a closer view of the tower and Octagon section. All comments welcome! Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted March 16, 2004 Oh, Colin - your photos give me such a desire to spend time in the UK (I've never really thought about that as a possibility before!) This is absolutely gorgeous! The detail that is brought out is wonderful. Awesome work!! Can't wait to go look at the other you just posted. [Notice ... no comment about the medium format ... oops...] Link to comment
