But John, isn't that the fun of it? Well I guess I'll let you in. It's actually a macro of some spilled stop bath (as the title indicates) that didn't get cleaned up before drying into this interesting formation.

Aren't these kinds of things marvellous?! I have some water damage in my walls due to a leak in the chimney flashing, which looks just great to photograph!

Nice pic, Tom. The colors and forms are beautiful. I would go for more DOF since the top left corner is starting to get fuzzy.

Yeah . . . Good composition. The yellow line is a nice touch. Do you remember your aperture?

Carl - Sorry, took me some time to get around to downloading my shooting records from my camera. This was 1/60 f5.6 with a flash. Looks like I should have shot more like f8 or f16 though.

What a wonderful accident. I wish I were so lucky.

Great interpretation of the image Thomas. At first glance I thought I was looking at a shore line in which someone had written letters in the sand. Great eye.

Too bad it looks a little fussy but this is excellent. If the depth of field was a little deeper it would be perfect.

Apart from the aperture issue, mentioned above, this is a very nice find indeed. However, for me, the frame takes some of the beauty away from the intriguing pattern contained within it. You might not like dropshadows, Tom. But I just wanted to show how I would have presented it. Additional sharpening was done to further mask some of the fuzziness. Feel free to pick holes in my approach. Cheers
