Late at the Beach

I attempted to have a limited depth of field, but over all I'm not

realy happy with the photo. Any suggestions? Thanks, Uwe

Maybe the background it too in focus and so it competes with the foreground. Yet it is very nice lighting. Perhaps the background is more interesting than the foreground? Then again maybe if they were both in focus it might work better? Also the horizon is not level.

 

Still there is something very interesting about this one.

Thank you for your comments. I personaly love the unsharp backgound, but I would like a bit more detail in the foreground. I have an other version where the focus is on the waves but it is not as nice as this one. Silly me that the uneven horizon slippet my attention. Thanks again. Regards, Uwe.

Taking exciting images at the beach gets difficult when you see it day in and day out. The image of the rock on the beach is the first one that I noticed and this was the 2nd one. The good use of focus is what caught my eye so you have definately accomplished what you set out to do. I'm surprised that you wouldn't be happy with this image. The only thing that I could suggest is a little more room on the right. Nice work

Thank you very much for your comment. Dont get me wrong, I like this photo or I wouldn't put it into my folder, but I wish there would be a bit detail in the gras on the left side. There is just a black hole. Thanks again, Uwe.
