jimmcnitt 0 Posted March 13, 2004 Have you turned your flower patch into an entire botanical solar system? There's the sun (flower) in the center, surrounded by 10 orbiting planets -- and even astoriods out there the deep space. Oh, Man. Spring can't get here soon enough! --jim Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted March 13, 2004 Thanks, Igor. Jim, I noticed when I took the shot, these flowers and buds had very interesting forms. I took a number of shots of them. I hadn't noticed that they resembled a solar system, which is why YOU come up with those creative ideas all the time and I don't!! :) Link to comment

syl_f._greg 0 Posted March 19, 2004 An unusual point of view and original vision : the effect is really aesthetic. I like very much this picture. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted March 20, 2004 Thanks, Syl. I was pleased with the way the flowers popped out when I darkened the background. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted March 20, 2004 Darkened the background to bring out the flowers. Thought it made for a real 3-D effect. Comments? Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted July 13, 2004 Thanks, Robert. Almost looks like they are floating on black water, which is why it appealed to me when I darkened the background. Link to comment
stato19 0 Posted August 6, 2004 This is a very unusual floral presentation. It made me stop and look to see what was going on. Very nicely done. Would love to see other flowers with such a treatment. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted August 10, 2004 William, I often use this technique when I have a busy background - it seems to make the flowers stand out more without foliage detracting. Thanks for taking the time to comment. Link to comment
